I wonder whether pedophiles get aroused while looking at nude pics of themselves when they were babies

This could be the one child they should be allowed to have a sexual relation with for the rest of their lives without harming anyone. If pedophilia really implied a deep love for kids, as some experts claim, then this might be the solution. Scientific texts, however, describe it as a paraphilia, meaning a mental disorder:
[...]
In the late 19th century, psychologists and psychiatrists started to categorize various paraphilias as they wanted a more descriptive system than the legal and religious constructs of sodomy[8] and perversion.[9] Before the introduction of the term paraphilia in the DSM-III (1980), the term sexual deviation was used to refer to paraphilias in the first two editions of the manual.[10] American Journal of Psychiatry[11] describes paraphilia as "recurrent, intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors generally involving:
  1. Non-human objects
  2. The suffering or humiliation of oneself or one's partner
  3. Children
  4. Non-consenting persons[12]
Up until 1973, sexual attraction to persons of the same sex was included in this list.[...]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paraphilia

[...]Exclusive pedophiles are sometimes referred to as "true pedophiles." They are attracted to children, and children only. They show little erotic interest in adults their own age and, in some cases, can only become aroused while fantasizing or being in the presence of prepubescent children. [...]
Neither the ICD nor the DSM diagnostic criteria require actual sexual activity with a prepubescent youth. The diagnosis can therefore be made based on the presence of fantasies or sexual urges even if they have never been acted upon. On the other hand, a person who acts upon these urges yet experiences no distress about their fantasies or urges can also qualify for the diagnosis. Acting on sexual urges is not limited to overt sex acts for purposes of this diagnosis, and can sometimes include indecent exposure, voyeuristic or frotteuristic behaviors,[1] or masturbating to child pornography.[41] Often, these behaviors need to be considered in-context with an element of clinical judgment before a diagnosis is made.[...]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedophilia
