I never watched Ally McBeal

Even though a then-girlfriend of mine tried to convince me how fantastic it was, I always fell asleep mentally. A lethargic main character, an all-brown atmosphere with a lot of law people who never seemed to work but, instead, acted stupid while trying to be funny...the yawning horror. No wonder, the series was written by a man (=sexist).
The only thing that caught my attention was how thin everyone was getting, and at one point, I just figured that the bottle of beer Ally was sipping had to be about 210 calories - a whole meal for a borderline anorexic!
Sadly, I 'd only just started to walk on thin ice by then.
So, not to pile on the pounds, you needed to be a perfect actresse who wouldn't mess around and make it possible to shoot this scene only once. Or otherwise get fat, lose your job, land on the street, sleep under a bridge and eat dirt.
Ally didn't have to care about all that, she was naturally thin.
I, however, swore to myself I never wanted to become a puppet in the showbusiness but try everything in the world to get a real job as a scientist or something. Simply nothing in front of a camera where people stare at you all of the time.  

What I long to see is a team of women lawyers unbound and free from any men's evil spell, who put to shame real criminals: rapists, pedopriests, dictators, terrorists, because they fairly deserve it. Like the Nuremberg trial. This would be real fun!

I've always loved hanging out with my dad

I love how he questions everything like nothing is real anymore, and thus pulls a joke on every situation, forgets his mobile+keys+purse in the city, then laments how poor he actually is while reciting his twenty latest purchases, thinks that farting in public is funny, then giggles like an old witch before he gets hooked on something more interesting. He's like five toddlers in one. You know, toddlers in their fifties. Another minute, another drama.
